How can I make a reservation?
The reservations office is open on Monday – Friday from 9:30am-5:30pm. Please call (212) 758-7777 to reach the reservations office or a host and make a reservation. We take reservations via OpenTable.
How far in advance do you take reservations?
We take reservations up to 6 weeks in advance of the date you wish to book.
Do I need a reservation to sit at the bar?
Seating in the Oak Bar is first come first serve. Reservations are not taken for seating in the bar.
When are you open for breakfast?
The Oak Room does not currently serve breakfast. We serve lunch on weekdays beginning at 12:00pm and brunch on the weekends beginning at 11:00am on Sunday.
When are you open for brunch?
We serve an a la carte brunch in The Oak Bar and a buffet brunch in the Main Dining Room on Sundays from 11:00am- 2:30pm .
When are you open for lunch?
We serve lunch in The Oak Bar from 12:00pm-2:30pm in The Oak Bar, Monday-Friday.
When are you open for dinner?
We serve dinner in The Main Dining Room from 5:30pm-9:45pm. We serve lighter dinner fare in The Oak Bar from 5:30pm -10:30pm.
What does The Oak Room do for holidays?
We are open on all major holidays. We serve pre fixe meals on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and Mother’s Day. We serve a tasting menu on New Year’s Eve. Please visit our menus page to see our holiday menus.
What is the dress code for The Oak Room?
The dress code at The Oak Room is business casual. Jackets and ties are not required. Please refrain from wearing ripped clothing, baseball caps and shorts. Gentleman, please refrain from wearing open toed shoes. Slacks and shoes are preferred over sneakers and jeans. Casual shorts are permitted during the summer for lunch in the Oak Bar.
What is The Oak Room’s policy on children?
Children are welcome to dine at The Oak Room with their parents for all meals. We have high chairs available for smaller children and a coat check for storing strollers. We are happy to take dinner reservations including small children until 8pm. The cost for pre-fixe meals is reduced for children 12 years old and younger. Menu items are also available a la carte.
I have a food allergy. Can The Oak Room accommodate me?
We are happy to accommodate guests with food allergies. Our servers will be able to recommend dishes and our kitchen staff will be able to modify some dishes.
I am a vegetarian or vegan. Can The Oak Room accommodate me?
We are happy to serve vegetarians and vegans at The Oak Room. We serve New American cuisine, which includes many dishes based on meat and seafood. However, there are vegetarian and vegan options available. Our servers will be able to recommend dishes for vegetarians.
